O.K. so this is not the most creative Friday Photo I’ve ever posted but how often do you get your picture taken with a borg?

Gas Prices Backfiring?

Published February 7th, 2008

This news out today indicates that Gas prices will begin to fall by the spring.  The oil elite in the middle east has not increased the supply and the oil companies certainly haven’t decided to lower prices and give up some of their record profits.  It’s because the American consumer has reacted to the economy and gas prices so we are driving less and buying more fuel efficient vehicles.  Maybe it’s time for all the oil suppliers in the middle east to rethink their plan to produce less oil and make more money?  The free market at work - It’s a beautiful thing…

Rick Burgess Preaches His Son’s Memorial

Published January 29th, 2008

If you live in the south, you’ve probably already heard about the tragic accidental death of the son of Rick Burgess.  Rick is co-host of the popular Rick & Bubba radio show but more than that he is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.  I have to say that I know more of Rick & Bubba by reputation than from experience.  And when I heard people talking about Rick preaching at his son’s funeral my first thought was of a man overcome by grief squeeking out some words about how much his son will be missed.  That couldn’t be any farther from what happened.  These are words from a man with God’s heart and they are challenging…  If you haven’t watched these, take some time to watch them and pass them on.

It snowed in Montgomery on Saturday!   If you live up north I’m sure the excitement must seem strange but I can count the number of times it has snowed in Montgomery in my lifetime on one hand.  The last time I think was six or seven years ago…
